01Who is responsible for your data
Discover The Sanctuary publishes https://thesanctuarylakewylie.com and is the controller of personal information handled through it. Reach the privacy contact at npeters@yourleaderinluxury.com. This is an editorial site with no accounts, no logins, no payments and no advertising network.
02What is collected
Only what the Site actually needs to operate and improve:
- Technical log data — IP address, user agent, referring URL, requested path, timestamps and error data, generated automatically when any web page is served.
- Usage measurement — pages viewed, approximate region, device type and aggregate engagement, used to see which guides are useful. Non-essential measurement storage is only set after consent.
- Preference storage — your cookie choice and similar interface preferences, stored in your browser.
- Information you volunteer — your name, email address, area of interest and message if you use the tour-request form or write to the published email address. No telephone number is requested or collected anywhere on this Site. The form composes an email from your own mail client; nothing is stored in a database on this Site.
No special-category data, government identifiers, precise geolocation, biometric data or payment details are requested or knowingly collected.
03Why it is used, and the legal basis
- To deliver, secure and maintain the Site, and to prevent abuse — legitimate interests, and compliance with legal obligations.
- To respond to your inquiry and arrange a tour or introduction you requested — performance of steps taken at your request, and legitimate interests.
- To measure which content is useful and improve the guides — consent where required, otherwise legitimate interests.
- To establish, exercise or defend legal claims and to comply with the law — legal obligation and legitimate interests.
Personal information is never used to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects, and never for third-party advertising.
05How long it is kept
Log and security data is retained for a short operational period, typically no more than twelve months. Aggregate measurement data is retained in non-identifying form. Correspondence you send is kept only as long as needed to handle your request and any related legal obligation, and is deleted on request unless retention is legally required. Preference storage lives in your browser until you clear it or it expires.
06Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what is held about you, to access a copy, to correct it, to delete it, to obtain it in portable form, to opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising (none of which occurs here), to limit use of sensitive information (none is collected), to withdraw consent, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to be free from discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
These rights are available to residents of California (CCPA/CPRA), Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas and other states with comparable laws, and to individuals in the EU/EEA and UK under the GDPR. Send requests — including authorised-agent requests — to npeters@yourleaderinluxury.com. Verification may require you to confirm details already held. EU/EEA and UK residents may also complain to their supervisory authority.
08Security, children and third-party sites
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used, including HTTPS transport, minimal data collection and restricted access. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so absolute security cannot be promised; do not send sensitive information by email or through this Site.
The Site is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their information. External sites linked from here have their own privacy practices, which this notice does not cover.
09Changes to this notice
This notice may be updated to reflect changes in practice or law. Material changes will be signalled by a new effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised notice.
